Course Outline
Join us for a highly progressive hands-on workshop that will help you meet the demands of today’s non-surgical periodontal therapy. With the aid of a “live camera” Cheri will guide participants as they practice in a simulated ultrasonic work environment on manikins. Attention will be given to insert evaluation, selection/adaptation, including the new needle-free anesthetic alternative for pain management Oraqix; ultrasonic insert adaptation in the most anatomically challenging situations (review root anatomy).
Upon completion of this course the participant will be able to:
- Select the appropriate inserts and strategically sequence ultrasonic instrumentation in the most safe and effective manner.
- Demonstrate ultrasonic insert adaptation in the most anatomically challenging situations (review root anatomy).
- Position a variety of evacuation devices to aid in the reduction of aerosols and enhance operator visibility.
- Provide ultimate client comfort with ultrasonic technology.
-
Demonstrate the application of non-injectable anesthetic as it applies to periodontal debridement.
