Course Outline
This multi media course is designed for the general practitioner to improve their daily endodontic skills. Areas covered will include the latest concepts in diagnosis, case selection, cleansing, shaping and packing of the root canal system in three dimensions with warm obturation techniques and bonded obturation. The course will also include an introduction to the surgical operating microscope as well as discuss the importance of coronal seal and the role of endodontics in treatment planning
Hands On Course Objectives:
- Demonstrate instrumentation and obturation techniques that achieve the biologic objectives of root canal therapy.
- Give the participants an opportunity to extensively practice these demonstrated instrumentation and obturation techniques.
- Provide an interactive learning experience that allows the participant to confidently take the advocated rotary methods and warm obturation techniques back into the office the next working day.
Biography
Dr. Mounce is a native of the Northwest. He lectures globally on endodontic therapy and is widely published. He has been in full-time endodontic specialty practice since 1991. He was one of the first endodontists in the world to use the surgical operating microscope on a daily basis in 1992. He is married, and lives in Vancouver, Washington with his wife and family. Amongst other interests, he is an avid scuba diver and soccer supporter.
