When booking a hotel room with the Delta, either via telephone or online, please ensure you inform the reservation operator or indicate online you are with the 2011 Thompson Okanagan Dental Meeting and request the conferrence rate.

*In 2008 & 2009 we our conference sold out and we were unable to accept onsite registrations. We recommend people register early in order to avoid this possible repeated scenario.*

 2011 Meeting Information Mailing Dates

  • First Mailing of Meeting Registration Package to all British Columbia Dental offices: July 1, 2011
  • Second Mailing of Meeting Registration Package to the Thompson Okanagan/ Prince George & District/ Kootenay & District regions (all dentists, registered dental hygienists, certified dental assistants) and all Calgary and Edmonton dentists: August 7, 2011

Registration and Name Badge Policy

  • Any personal and/or payment information of delegates, the Thompson Okanagan Dental Society gathers during the registration process of the annual TODS Meeting or during anyother time, is NEVER, shared, sold, traded or anything else.  All information is kept strictly for the Society's purpose of conducting the annual continuing educational meeting.  Our list of individual names attending the meeting is also kept strictly for the use of the Society to conduct the meeting and is never shared, traded, bartered or sold to ANYONE or ANY GROUP/BUSINESS etc.
  • Registration includes: continental breakfast & lunch both Friday & Saturday, entrance to all sessions & exhibits and the Friday TODS Tradeshow Reception.
  • All registration packages and name badges can ONLY be picked up at the registration desk.
  • Lost or forgotten name badges - a fee may be assessed for re-printing name badges.
  • The tuition fee is deductible. A receipt will be issued for Canada Income Tax purposes.
  • In order to keep costs down, we DO NOT phone or mail confirmation of registration. Registrants may e-mail and request confirmation only to tods@sunwave.net.
  • NAME BADGES MUST BE WORN TO ENTER EXHIBITS AND SPEAKERS - (a fee for re-printing lost or forgotten name badges may be assessed).

Cancellation Policy & Refund Policy

Meeting Cancellation/Refund Policy

Request for a refund must be in writing and received by the Thompson Okanagan Dental Meeting Registration Coordinator, Alison Hall on or before October 15, 2011. Registrants that are eligible for a refund, will receive 75% of the registration fee per registrant. The refund will be issued before November 30, 2011.

For Dentists or Certified Dental Assistants licensed in BC

CE credits may be earned by hour-for hour for eligible course attendance AND attendees can claim up to 5 hours of attendance on the tradeshow floor
 

•Receive up to 5 continuing education credits for attendance on the tradeshow floor AND
•Hour-for-hour credit, based on session attendance

 

The CDSBC also reminds dentists and certified dental assistants to be aware of limits allowed for certain subjects. Please refer directly to the College of Dental Surgeons of British Columbia's website at www.cdsbc.org for complete information.


A College of Dental Surgeons of British Columbia "Continuing Education Credit Submission Form” customized for the 2011 TODS Meeting will be available online print the form. Printed forms can either be scanned and emailed, faxed or mailed directly to the College of Dental Surgeons . Click here to visit the CDSBC website.
 

For Registered Dental Hygienists licensed in BC
 

The College of Dental Hygienists of British Columbia requests that hygienists add the Thompson Okanagan Dental Meeting information onto your yearly reporting form.

The Thompson Okanagan Dental Society will not be responsible for submitting Continuing Education Credits on behalf of any registrant.
 

Out of Province Registrants


Out-of-BC registrants should consult with their provincial or state regulatory authorities for CE credit requirements.
 

Food Information

Should you require a special meal due to allergies, please contact the Meeting Coordinator, Ms. Lane Shupe (250) 764-2247 or shupe@direct.ca. Arrangements for special meals must be made prior to October 1, 2011.

Childcare

Nursing mothers will be provided a place to breast feed in private. The Kelowna Fire Marshall has deemed that as our lecture rooms are at capacity, they are therefore not appropriate for children and babies. Children under the age 18 are not allowed in any lecture, workshop, exhibit hall or convention floor. Child care is available at The Delta Grand Okanagan Lakefront Resort and Conference Centre through the hotel concierge or desk clerk, only if you have accommodations at the resort. Arrangements for this service MUST be made with The Grand Okanagan Resort well in advance. Please call 1-800-465-4651. A room for nursing mothers will be available on Friday October 21 & Saturday October 22, 2011 only upon ADVANCE request only.
